Soon after, she moved to Mumbai, the heart of Indian entertainment.

A Personal Connection: Love On Set

Sargun's personal life intertwined with her professional one early on. She began dating her 12/24 Karol Bagh co-star, Ravi Dubey, in 2009. She secured a supporting role in Zee TV's 2009 show 12/24 Karol Bagh, where she starred opposite Ravi Dubey as Neetu Sethi, a spirited young woman.

The show, set in a middle-class Delhi locality, revolved around the Sethi family. Sargun's character, Neetu, was the third of four siblings, married to the mentally challenged Omi, played by Dubey. Towards the end of that year, she was considered for the role of Aradhya in Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat, but changes in the show's concept led to her departure before filming.

Ekta Kapoor's popular soap opera Kya Huaa Tera Vaada became Sargun's next significant project. After a ten-year leap in the storyline, she was cast as the grown-up Bulbul, an independent journalist, working alongside Mohit Malhotra and Mona Singh. This role, which she described as having 'different shades,' challenged her to explore new aspects of her acting prowess before the show concluded in May 2013.

Following these diverse roles, Sargun took on the docile character of Ganga in Colors' drama series Balika Vadhu. She confessed to being surprised by the offer, as it was a departure from her usual spirited characters. However, she embraced the challenge, although she eventually left the show in mid-November 2014 due to creative differences.
