The sixth series of Race Across the World will begin airing on 2 April 2026. The racers start from Palermo in Sicily, and travel 12,000km across Europe and Asia to finish in Hatgal by Lake Hövsgöl in Mongolia.

Race Across the World series 6

The teams in the sixth series of Race Across the World race from Palermo, Sicily in Italy to in Hatgal by Lake Hövsgöl in Mongolia, a distance of over 12,000 km, passing through Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, part of which retraced the Silk Road. The teams are given a budget of less than £26 per person per day. This year the teams have to race through the most extreme range of temperature, from 30°C in the Mediterranean to minus 20°C in Mongolia. A new companion podcast Race Across the World: The Detour was originally scheduled to be presented by Scott Mills after each episode has been broadcast this year. Filming took place in September and October 2025.
