Introducing a Rising Star
Born on February 22, 2000, Connor Storrie is an American actor who has quickly become a name to watch. While his resume includes a compelling performance in "Joker: Folie à Deux," it was his lead role as Ilya Rozanov in the Crave original series "Heated Rivalry" that truly launched him into the spotlight.
From Gymnastics to Global Stages
Storrie's early life saw him born in Colorado and raised in Odessa, Texas. As a child, he wasn't just dreaming of acting; he was a competitive tumbler in gymnastics, developing a discipline and physicality that would later subtly influence his craft. This foundation in movement and control hints at the unique approach he'd take to performance.
An early interest in performing arts led him to specialized schools, fostering his creative spark. His family later moved near Ventura, California, placing him close to the heart of the entertainment industry. He even spent a year studying abroad in France, becoming fluent in French—a linguistic skill that would prove surprisingly useful in his career.
Before his big break, Storrie honed his skills, taking improv classes with the renowned Groundlings in Los Angeles while working as a restaurant server. This period of balancing professional ambition with everyday life is a familiar story for many actors, showcasing his persistence and dedication to his dreams.
Breaking into the Business
Connor's acting career officially began in 2018 with a series of short films and minor roles. He steadily built his portfolio, including an appearance as Liam Hauser in the 2023 feature film "Riley," slowly but surely making his mark in the competitive industry.
However, it was his secretive role in the 2024 DC Comics film "Joker: Folie à Deux" that truly turned heads. Storrie played a young Arkham Asylum inmate whose actions are heavily implied to lead to Arthur Fleck's transformation into the iconic Joker. This pivotal, shocking role demanded absolute secrecy for nearly two years before the film's release.
Following his turn in the "Joker" sequel, Storrie continued to audition and work as a waiter. During this time, he developed another fascinating skill: modern clowning. Inspired by a show from Natalie Palamides and Courtney Pauroso, he found that clowning significantly enhanced his ability to connect with audiences and navigate challenging acting scenarios.
The "Heated Rivalry" Phenomenon
In 2025, the role that would define his breakthrough arrived: Ilya Rozanov in the Canadian sports romance series "Heated Rivalry." Based on Rachel Reid's beloved 'Game Changers' novel series, this role catapulted him to international fame.
To embody Ilya, a Russian ice hockey player, Storrie dedicated himself to immersive preparation. He diligently studied the Russian language and developed a distinct Russian accent for his English-language dialogue, showcasing his commitment to authenticity and character depth.
His performance as Ilya Rozanov garnered widespread critical praise. Publications quickly labeled it his "breakout role," solidifying his status as a talented and compelling actor capable of captivating audiences across the globe.
Post-Breakout Momentum
Storrie quickly capitalized on his newfound momentum. He reunited with his "Heated Rivalry" co-star, Hudson Williams, for the romance fantasy audio series "Ember & Ice," voicing the character Dane. The three-episode series captivated listeners in late 2025 and early 2026.
January 2026 marked another significant milestone as Storrie signed with the prestigious Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Later that month, he and Williams shared a unique honor, serving as torchbearers in the 2026 Winter Olympics torch relay in Feltre, Italy.
His rising profile culminated in hosting "Saturday Night Live" on February 28. Notably, one of the sketches featured an injured stripper character—a creation Storrie had developed during his years of improv and clowning—bringing his unique background full circle to a national stage.
Off-Screen Insights
Beyond his roles, Storrie shares a distinctive bond with his "Heated Rivalry" co-star, Hudson Williams. The two have matching "sex sells" tattoos, a quirky commemoration of their friendship and their collaborative work on the hit series.
In a 2025 interview with Vulture, Storrie revealed another intriguing personal hobby: creating rhythmic noise music. This artistic pursuit outside of acting offers a glimpse into his creative mind and diverse interests, suggesting there's more to this talented actor than meets the eye.
